Product Description

Product Description: FA800 Rebound Tonometer

Features:

  • The measurement results are accurate and consistent, proven correct through clinical studies.

  • Doesn't require anesthesia, with fast measurement speed and short contact time between the probe and the patient's cornea.

  • Small eye contact area and gentle compression eliminate discomfort.

  • Repeated measurements can be conducted without harm to the eyes of adults and children.

  • Easy manipulation for self-measurement, no assistance needed.

  • Similar to ICARE tonometer, it is easy to operate and accurate.

  • Advanced lateral LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) design for better control and reading of values.

  • Small and portable, can be used without environmental restrictions for continuous ocular pressure monitoring.

  • Disposable probes to avoid cross-infection.

  • Can be used in an upright or lying gesture, suitable for patients who cannot stand up.

  • Wireless data printing (requires another photocopier).

  • Built-in storage function to store up to ten sets of data for review or printing.

  • Time and date can be set for review.

Working Mechanism of FA800 Rebound (Ocular) Tonometer:

The rebound tonometer, also known as an impact tonometer, adopts innovative sensing rebound technology. The magnetized probe generates N/S poles when inserted into the tonometer. A transient current in the solenoids of the device creates a transient magnetic field, causing the magnetized probe to move towards the cornea at 0.2m/s (homopolar repulsion principle). The probe bounces on the anterior surface of the cornea, slowing down and rebounding. If the ocular pressure increases, the deceleration of the probe increases, and the duration of the impact decreases.

The electrical control switch monitors the solenoid voltage caused by the rebound of the magnetized probes. The electrical signal processors and microsensors calculate the deceleration of the probe after impacting the cornea. Finally, the integrated information is converted into ocular pressure readings.

The rebound tonometer is an electric measuring type pressure gauge that converts pressure into voltage or current signals through the physical characteristics of the metal. The tonometer can obtain measurement data within 0.1 seconds.

Applicability:

  • Used in tonometry tests by ophthalmologists, optometrists, general physicians, and professional health advisors.

  • Beneficial for patients with dementia, mobility problems, and children in measuring cornea edema, opacity, or uneven cornea surface.

  • Handy for glaucoma patients to measure ocular pressure at home.

Usage:

  1. Turn on the tonometer and install the probe.

  2. Move the machine close to the eyes and adjust the distance.

  3. Gently press the button to obtain single measurement values and average values in several times.

  4.

*Short measuring time, only seconds.

*Reduces check time for glaucoma.

*Capable of storing ocular data for up to ten patients.
